Yo, it's 🐝'n a while since I created a newsletter for this wonderful bunch but mostly because I've been sort of battling a sleeping giant that woke up for a stroll and an old friend; Depression and Loneliness.
Did I just catch you frown? You better not be because I got to see after my worst week of 2020(last week) that a lot of things I was doing, I was doing impulsively and wrongly so let's dive in to it.
Basically when you've been in the self growth and development world for a while you program your brain and mind to always seek to improve and develop more at a constant rate which is great for Creative work, innovation but also great for stirring up a nice cold glass of stress and strain on the rocks after a while.
Because we have been on an upswing of growth we tend to fall into a pattern of always being busy and working on something which is super duper counterproductive because it gets to a point where because of the enjoyment and dopamine hit that comes with doing something right we do not recognise the need for rest and energy/attention oscillation.
What this means is you have no clue how to take a break from setting deadlines and new goals, beating yourself up trying to be “accountable” and all of the famous self development preachings.
It also means you don't recognise that periods of laziness and inactivity and rest and leisure are also needed to stay in peak form so yeah, I tuned down a couple notches and let myself be a bit human.
You should too.
Every person needs to take one day away. A day in which one consciously separates the past from the future. Jobs, family, employers, and friends can exist one day without any one of us, and if our egos permit us to confess, they could exist eternally in our absence. Each person deserves a day away in which no problems are confronted, no solutions searched for. Each of us needs to withdraw from the cares which will not withdraw from us.

I have no recommendations this week except that you chill out and let this weekend be an actual weekend.
See you next time Champs.
