One Breath
Thank goodness it's Friday, or so i would like to say but days aren't that different when you've been home for 10 months, during which I was consistently enough in touch with my meditation practice until I wasn't but meditation although referring to the same word as sitting still trying to let thoughts flow refers also to something more profound.
By this I am referring to any Practice or action that you connect with beyond a physical level, it is the writer connecting to his past and a fragment of the future, it is the artist deeply invested in his painting because after months of pain, this is a reflection of his life. Meditation is also the desperate prayers of a widow as well as the devout christian reading the bible not just as another ritual practice but as an art form of masterful poetry and naratives to tell a story.
Meditation therefore goes beyond the confines of a pose, meditation is a step closer to understand what spirituality. It could be as simple as a single breath and as complex as dissecting the scriptures in old Hebrew.
The idea is to do whatever it is you choose wholly not just with your head and body. This is a continuation of Monday's newsletter so if you didn't read that, please do.
